Our Evening at the Wales Energy Efficiency Awards

On Friday 10th February, Gaeltel attended the Wales Energy Efficiency Awards 2023 at Voco St. David’s in Cardiff. The event recognizes the achievements of businesses, organizations, and individuals in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability. Bringing together key stakeholders in the industry, it's a chance to celebrate the progress made towards achieving the country's climate change targets. The evening itself was a roaring success, with the Energy Efficiency Awards' MD, Gary Braybrooke, kicking off the night with an introductory speech. Once dinner had been served and plates emptied, Gaeltel’s very own Eddie Pellegrom took to the stage and delivered his keynote presentation.

The awards recognised a number of extremely deserving businesses. Gaeltel took to the stage once again as Alan Hough, our Regional Manager in Wales, presented the Vulnerable Customer Support Organisation of the Year award to winners Care and Repair. This award is reserved for truly exceptional organisations that have shown true commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people through energy efficiency. “It really was an honour to play even a small part in the Wales Energy Efficiency Awards.” reflected Eddie, “We chose to sponsor the Regional Vulnerable Customer Support Organisation of the Year award as we wanted to play a role in recognizing the true importance of the work carried out by all three of the nominees”.

Regional ceremonies for the Energy Efficiency Awards will be hosted across the UK throughout the year, with the National Awards taking place in Birmingham in September.
